The Spectrum

The Spectrum machine was introduced by Sinclair Research and I aquired one sometime during 1983. Until the IBM PC came into use the Spectrum was of major importance acting as a file server for loading the various Z80 based Forth systems. The Spectrum also ran a Z80 Assembler used to produce code modules for the Slave Z80.

The Spectrum has a Technology Research floppy disk interface fitted along with a 5.25" drive. This transformed the machine, a disk made for reliablity as well as speed.
